The Manual Handling Course gives learners a thorough understanding of safe lifting techniques, posture, risk assessments, and injury prevention. Through a mix of theory and practical demonstrations, delegates develop the confidence and skills to apply safe manual handling principles in their workplace.

- Legal responsibilities and the Manual Handling Operations Regulations
- The anatomy of the spine and common manual handling injuries
- Risk assessment (TILEO method)
- Correct lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling techniques
- Team lifting principles
- Using equipment and mechanical aids
- Practical demonstrations and hands-on activities
Assessment ▼
Learners are assessed through a combination of:
- A written exam
- A practical demonstration of their lifting abilities
Successful delegates will receive an in-house training certificate valid for 3 years.
