RQF Level 2 Award: FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)

SCQF Level 5 Award: Award in First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 5

It’s estimated that 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem at some point in their life. This course is suitable for everyone and has been designed to help employers promote a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

Learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the most common mental health conditions and develop the confidence to act if a colleague, friend, or family member shows signs of distress.

Upon completion, learners will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health, acting as a point of contact to support and guide others towards appropriate professional help.

Building on the Level 1/4 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health, this qualification introduces the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, equipping learners with the knowledge and skills to provide effective support, signpost to professional help, and assist in maintaining a supportive workplace culture.

The course also explores the impact of drugs and alcohol on mental wellbeing and provides practical steps to help organisations foster a safe and open environment.
