The Level 3 First Aid at Work Course equips delegates with the confidence and competence to handle a wide variety of medical emergencies in the workplace. It combines theory with extensive hands-on practice and complies fully with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) standards.

- Legal responsibilities and reporting
- Assessment of the situation
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation and use of AED
- Control of bleeding and shock (including anaphylaxis)
- Fractures, spinal and head injuries
- Heart attacks, strokes and asthma
- Diabetes, epilepsy and poisoning
- Eye injuries, burns, sprains and strains
- Chest injuries and bandaging techniques
Assessment ▼
Delegates are assessed continuously through practical demonstrations and short written tasks over the three days. Successful participants receive a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (valid for 3 years). Annual refreshers are recommended to maintain competence.
