The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course gives learners a solid foundation in first aid, focusing on life-saving skills such as CPR, casualty assessment and supporting someone who is injured or unwell. The session includes both theory and hands-on practice to build confidence and competence.

- Responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation (CPR) and safe use of an AED
- Control of bleeding and shock
- Seizures, fainting and minor injuries
- Burns, scalds, cuts and grazes
- Choking and airway obstruction
Assessment ▼
Learners are assessed throughout the session by the instructor through practical demonstrations and participation. Successful candidates will receive a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years.
